New labour codes and Tamil Nadu rules
Four new labour codes came into force on 21 November 2025. They replaced 29 old labour laws, including the Contract Labour Act 1970. The Central Rules were notified on 8 May 2026.
But each state makes its own rules too. Some states are still finishing them. So please check Tamil Nadu's own rules for your work.
- Pay monthly wages before the 7th of the next month.
- Give a wage slip to every worker on or before pay day.
- Contract labour rules apply when you have 50 or more contract workers.

Your monthly work in four steps
- Upload each client's attendance Excel, or type the days on the salary sheet.

- Approve the month. The figures are now locked.
- Download payslips, the bank file, PF ECR file, ESI file, Form XXVII wage register and the client bill.
The client bill is made from the same month's salary, with wages, service charge and GST. So the bill and the salary agree.
